The Four Counties Wedding Awards covers the four counties of Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. Every year they hold a spectacular gala evening. The awards recognise those suppliers who are outstanding in their field. It is judged by a panel of very well respected wedding industry judges as well as feedback from suppliers wedding couples.
A wedding industry colleague encouraged me to enter The Four Counties Wedding Awards this year. Oh my goodness, I’m so glad I entered. Sweet Ally Scoops won the category for “Best Special Touch“.
The theme for the night was a Cuban one, which meant dressing up Cuban style!! Dresses are not really my thing, so I went for a skirt from Coast. My top was a bardot style from Ralph Lauren. The worst part of my outfit was having to wear heels!! You should see me trying to walk in heels! When the best special touch category time came and my name was announced I had to walk across a slippery dance floor to the stage. All was well though and my ankles remained intact!
Everyone at the gala was so friendly and it was also lovely to meet so many other local wedding suppliers. So much talent in one room. We all have a common theme and that is to be the best of the best. All of us want to give our wedding couples the ultimate professional service on their big day. Wedding suppliers are popping up all over the place now and they can’t all be trusted to do the job they promote. Always check out their reviews. As well as being recognised for all my hard work, winning the award also meant I got to read all my testimonials. They all made me cry. Here are a couple:
“We got married at Chippenham park on the 1st July, we hired sweet alley scoops ice cream van and it was a great hit with the guests. Not only does her ice cream taste the best I’ve ever tasted but also the van really looks the part. It was such a great night and am still utterly gobsmacked to have won my award but I wouldn’t have won it without the support of all my amazing 2017 couples.
